Quality & Safety
The safety and well-being of our patients are paramount.

Each donor (and their partner, if applicable) undergoes extensive screening tests, completes a comprehensive medical questionnaire, and consults with our sperm donor clinician and counsellor prior to donations commencing. In addition, all donors recruited after 2019 now complete an extended genetic carrier screening test. The panel is made up of 175+ conditions.
After the completion of the above tests, the donation can begin. Sperm is then quarantined for three months from the last donation date. At the end of the donation period, donors are contacted to return for the following final screening tests to allow clearance of the sperm for use.
You can learn more about the process a donor undergoes to donate sperm on our Donation Steps web page.
