Seattle Sperm Bank has introduced new Family Donor Packages, giving you the opportunity to secure multiple vials upfront and move forward with greater peace of mind throughout your treatment journey.
Family Packages are a particularly strong option for patients in New South Wales and Western Australia, where a five family limit applies.

What is a Family Package?
A Family Package (also called a Family Spot) is a pre-set bundle of vials from a single donor, set held exclusively for you.
Rather than purchasing individual vials one at a time, you’re securing a dedicated group of vials upfront. This means your chosen donor’s vials are held and protected for your use, whether it’s for multiple cycles or hoping to grow your family further down the track with a sibling.
The family packages include up to 12 vials, depending on the packages available for your chosen donor. Each package contains a mix of vial types suited to different treatment pathways.
What are the benefits of buying an NSW family package?
A Family Package comes with real benefits:
- Guaranteed availability: Donor availability can change at any time. Once your Family Package is secured, your vials are reserved and held exclusively for you with no risk of your donor selling out before you’re ready for your next attempt or next child.
- Cost certainty: The price is fixed at the time of purchase, so you know exactly what you’re paying.
- Ideal for growing your family: If you’d like to have more than one child using the same donor, your vials are already waiting and ready for treatment.
- Your family is protected: Seattle Sperm Bank strictly limits each donor to just five families worldwide, giving your children a limited number of donor-related siblings globally.
What will a family package cost?
SSB Family Packages range from $9,000 – $20,000 USD. Pricing for Family Packages is set by Seattle Sperm Bank and will vary per package depending on:
- The package size you select (number of vials)
- The vial types included in your package
Once you’ve made your donor request, we’ll provide you with a full cost breakdown of the available donor packages, including vial inclusions and prices, to help you make an informed decision. You won’t be asked to commit until you’ve received a full cost breakdown.
The family package price you’re quoted is the price you pay directly to Seattle Sperm Bank. This is important to understand: payment goes directly to Seattle Sperm Bank, not to Addam.
This is due to the unique nature of this arrangement. Addam manages your donor selection, coordinates with SSB, and supports you throughout, but the purchase itself is between you and SSB directly.
An additional $500 Addam registration fee applies separately.
How will the process work?
- Choose your donor: Browse NSW-eligible donors on our platform and submit a donor request for the one you’d like. Family package donors will be noted via the Origin feature (i.e., “Overseas – SSB Family Package).
- Get your package options: Once your donor request is approved, our Addam team will send you a summary of the available Family Packages for that donor, including the number of vials and vial types in each.
- Select your package: Select the package that best fits your treatment and family-building plans. Not sure which to pick? Our team is happy to help.
- Purchase your package directly from Seattle Sperm Bank: The final payment goes directly to Seattle Sperm Bank, not through Addam. We’ll guide you through this process and liaise with SSB on your behalf. A separate $500 Addam registration fee will also apply.
- Your vials are reserved: Once payment is confirmed, your vials are reserved, shipped to our storage facility, and held until you’re ready to begin treatment. Once you are ready, we will coordinate delivery to your clinic.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which family package is right for me?
Can I purchase only one vial from a family package?
No, individual vials cannot be purchased separately from a Seattle Sperm Bank family package. Family packages are pre-set by Seattle Sperm Bank and must be purchased in full to access the donor sperm.
What if I want to change my donor after purchasing?
Once a Family Package is purchased, the vials are reserved specifically for that donor. Changing donors would require purchasing a new package. We recommend taking your time selecting your donor before committing to a family package. Our team is available to help you feel confident in your decision
What if I need more vials later?
Additional vials beyond your package are not guaranteed. This is one of the key reasons we recommend selecting a package size that accounts for your longer-term family plans from the outset. If additional vials do become available, Seattle Sperm Bank have confirmed they will do their best to assist, but availability cannot be promised.
What happens to unused vials?
If you no longer require your remaining vials, please contact our Addam team. We can guide you on available options, including whether your vials may be eligible for release to other approved families or arranged for discard. Please note that Seattle Sperm Bank will not provide refunds for unused vials.
Do the reservation timeframes or re-reservation fees apply to Family Packages?
As SSB Family Packages are purchased directly from the international donor bank, they are subject to different reservation and storage arrangements than standard Addam donor reservations.
Family Packages include:
- Six months of complimentary storage
- Monthly storage fees apply after the initial six-month period and continue for the duration of storage.
Standard Addam reservation periods and re-reservation fees do not apply to SSB Family Packages
